  1. These mechanical shapers are widely used to plane the flat surfaces, the shaped surfaces and the grooves or slot on medium or small size workpieces in the single-piece or small-batch production; 
  2. The toolpost on these shapers can be swiveled and set at a desired angle and can be fed by hand; 
  3. The worktable of these shapers can be swiveled left/right at a desired angle so that the tilting surfaces can be planed. It can perform rapid traverses in both the cross direction and the vertical direction; 
  4. Overload protection in the feeds is provided on these planers during the feeding operations. In case of misoperations, being affected by external forces or overloaded in the cut, the feed will automatically slip to protect the components in these shapers against damages; 
  5. Pressured lubrication from the oil pump lubricates all the guidways and gear sets on these planers; 
  6. The clutch and the brake on these planers allows the speed-shifting, the machine startup/stop to be performed without the need of shutting off the power supply for the machine. The brake makes the interia stroke of the ram to be less than 10mm after the clutch is disengaged.
