OD 1000mm 6-jaw self-centering chuck, with short-cylinder type back mount. This chuck was produced for attaching to a horizontal lathe. Its L-shaped jaws were customized and 3-tier top jaws can also be produced. Also this OD 1000mm 6-jaw self-centering chuck can be mounted on a vertical boring mill for quick setup of workpieces. This OD 1000mm 6-jaw self-centering chuck center bore diameter is 460mm, which is large enough to passing through tubular workpieces of large diameter. 

This chuck's 6 jaws can evenly spread its clamping forces onto the workpiece, which is a great advantage for clamping think-wall workpieces on which any deformations caused by chuck clamping forces should be strictly avoided. On request, other numbers of jaws, like 8, 10 etc. can be custom produced.

Versatile applications can be performed with this OD 1000mm 6-jaw self-centering chuck. It can be mounted on a horizontal lathe for quickly and precisely clamping workpieces for mass productions,  or be installed on a vertica lathe worktable serving as auxiliary chuck to improve the setup efficiency. When needed to be mounted on a vertical lathe, we will attach round cover on top of its center bore and rectangular covers to each master jaw's end, for swarf-proof purpose. In some cases, this OD 1000mm 6-jaw chuck are mounted on a plasma cutting machine for handling tubulars.

We use only steel to build the chuck base to have premium rigidity. Usually cast steel is adopted, but on request its base can also be made of forging steel. Back mount of this OD 1000mm 6-jaw chuck are optional as A2-15, A2-20, D1-15, D1-20, C-15, C-20, short-cylinder types, etc., depending on the spindle nose specs which will receive this chuck.

On request, larger chucks from 1250-2200mm can be offered.
