2000x500x500mm T-slotted angle plates, 4 pieces were produced to extend a horizontal boring mill's machining scope. These angle plates will be setup in pair to hold large workpieces. These angle plates were made of HT-250 grey cast iron by annealment heat treated to avoid any distortion in the long time service. Its hardness was HB 170 -240. To obtain high precision on these T-slotted angle plates, the CNC gantry machining centers were adopted to produced them into flatness less than 0.08mm / 2000mm and T-slots of 22H7-DIN 650. The hand-scrapped surface further improve its vertical clamping surface's flatness accuracy.

3000x2200x1500mm Angle plates we had supplied to a customer in the US. Precision tapped holes spread on it in a 100x100mm square pattern. These M24x3 tapped holes allow pressing bolt to be studded and removed freely at any tiny positions on the whole vertical clamping surfaces, which enables irregularly-shaped workpieces to get boost clamping from pressing bars at anytime after the intital setup is accomplished. Clamping elements of bolts/pressing bars/nuts will not possibly interfere with each other when setting the workpieces on to this angle plates, compared with the possibilty of T-nuts inserted in the T-slots might block against each during clamping operations in a T-slotted angle plate.

The tapped angle plates also features higher rigidity than its counterpart T-slotted angle plates, as much less material have been removed to produce the threaded holes, than that to removed in producing T-slots.
